On May 14, 2016 I and a friend stayed at the Days Inn in Kinder, La. We were in Kinder for a concert. We check in and head on out to the show, we drove 3 hours that morning and had to be at the Coushatta casino by 1:30pm. After the show my and friend and I get ready for bed and as I pull back my half of the covers a ROACH crawled out from under my pillow. As my friend pulled back her half of the covers, there was a large amount of coiled hair under the sheet. I then immediately call the front desk and a (Marcus) comes to the room and checks things out. He tells us we are being moved to RM. 158. As I am trying to get into the door, a man from the other side says; "Is someone trying to get in here?". Mind you this is around midnight. I then go to the front desk and tell the lady who had come on to work and she gets on the phone and is arguing with someone about RM 158 being occupied. She then gives us another room and says she is going to walk down with us and find out why there is someone in RM 158. She begins banging on the door and starts hollering at the man in the room wanting to know why he was in there; that the room is suppose to be vacant. We then head to RM 154. As we enter RM 154 we are immediately hit with the smell of MILDEW. We finally get in bed to sleep and at 2am the phone in our room rings and its the lady from the front telling us that we have to move to another room because RM 154 was not clean and had flooded a few weeks prior. We AGAIN get our stuff and move to RM 161. I am awake by this time and I head to the vending machine for a drink where I am met by (Marcus); he immediately begins to tell me that he is very sorry that we need to move back to room 154; and that he did not know why the front desk lady moved us to RM 161. By this time I am LIVID. The next morning, I demand a refund.I was told that they would have the manager/owner of the Days Inn in Kinder, La phone me. I never received a call. I then call four times within the next week and still got no response. I then call corporate and was promised a refund of at least one night. I had originally only booked the room for one night but modified the booking two days before, because we were going to leave a day early due to the last minute time we had to be at the casino resort. I fell violently ill and was not able to leave on fri, May 13, 2016. And was told by Days Inn I could not modify my booking and would be charged for Friday night as well. They charged my husbands card for $102, credited his card $102, then charged his card $204, then credited his card $204; then finally they charge my card $204. I have yet to receive a call or a refund. SO I call booking.com on June 9 & 10, 2016 due to getting a email stating that I NO SHOWED for my booking. I was clearly at this nasty, filthy, disgusting, hotel with incompetent employees. Booking.com calls the hotel where they tell booking.com that a refund of $205 was issued on May 19, 2016. I have not received any form of a refund to my bank account by any means. DAYS INN is a joke and all of them should be shut down. Next step for me is going to be contacting my attorney. I have had enough BS from these people!
