Thrifty Car rental locations Apparently run predominantly as separate Franchises with little oversight of the main office over their operations.<br /> <br /> Little consistency between the branches. Wildly different hire experience between the locations, even in the same cities. Ranging from excellent to poor. Different fee structure and way of calculating fees means you don't know what you are getting even if you've hired with the same brand for years.<br /> <br /> They may as well be called different companies entirely.<br /> <br /> Some franchisees have been caught fabricating their own reviews (and/or franchise owners getting their staff to) on their google business listings. Bring a bag of salt.
