Same story here: AAA service has become, "customer no service." We were traveling on 575 in north Georgia and hit a basketball sized rock that was in the middle of the road. The tire blew and we pulled off on the side of the road and immediately called AAA. They assured us that someone would be there, "No later than an hour." So we waited and no one showed. When we called back we were told that the serviceman ,"declined," the job. Why didn't AAA call us with this information?! Or contact another provider? We had already turned down help from several people who saw us stranded on the side of the road because AAA was ,"on the way!" At this point my husband just changed the tire---not a good thing for a 73 year old man to do in high July heat in Georgia! AAA used to provide great service, but no longer! Now they want us to renew. We have paid for AAA service for years, and the one time we needed them, we got nothing! There are now too many companies providing roadside assistance, we'll just look for a more reliable company!
