Original Comment I too am having problems with cancelling my membership with Bally's since they closed my location and transferred my membership to LA Fitness WITHOUT my authorization. LA Fitness continues to debit my account even though I NEVER signed an authorization to do so! This issue caused my account to go negative and incur over $210. of overdraft/Returned Check fees in ONE month. LA Fitness presented the non-authorized debits every week until they received the payments! The bank will not reverse the fees since it wasn't an error on their part. LA Fitness blames Bally's and Bally's blames LA Fitness. I am also forced to file a civil suit to get this resolved. DO NOT sign up for monthly payments for a Bally's Membership or you too will find yourself in your local courthouse not your local gym!
