Family and I stayed at the Comfort Inn (Meridian Mississippi). We had travel about 700 miles to attend a funeral. I had reserved 2 rooms. Upon our arrival we found out that one of the rooms was not what I had reserved. I had reserved a room with 2 queen beds and was given a room with 1 queen bed. This confirmation was to be for the men in the family. Imagine how embarrassed I felt when the hotel did not have any other rooms with 2 beds to accommodiate them. I called the customer service number and was told they could not do anything about it. When I asked to speak with a manager the person on the line hung-up on me. Well the manager at the front desk there at the hotel, (Toya) was kind enough to call them back for me because I was so upset. Once again I was told to hold and no one ever came back on the phone. No satification! Finally Toya said she could put my family in one of the hotel suite, but it was going to cost us more money, this was not in their budget, so guess who had to make up the difference in the cost, since I was the person responsible for booking all the reservations. ME!! This was very un-expected because we all were traveling on a budget. I was not a happy camper!!!! For the second room I had reserved, the key did not work to get in. Everybody from the front desk clerk to the maid tried to open it using the the key, we finally succeeded. Then on our second night stay there we came back from the funeral and found out our door to the room did not lock. Back down to the front desk I go, this was about my three or fourth trip to the front desk to voice our concern. At first the desk clerk did not believe me. She thought I did not know how to lock it correctly. Finally she saw it for herself, and she could not believe it. She did not know what to do because it was so late and the maintance crew was not available. So that night my 82 old mother and I had to sleep in the room with a chair and all our luggage stack up to the door. alone with a hope and prayer that no one would in on us. Good thing there was no emergency which would had required us to leave the room quickly. That's not the end of the story, because before we build our pyramid, someone did try to open our door, Thank God! the top latch was still there. No more stay at the Comfort Inn. Is there anyway I can get back the extra money I had to spend for your error? Please don't put me on hold again!
