sadly, i join the legions of members dissatisfied with AARP. i joined soon as i was eligible & this past year has proven anticlimactic. was only able to use the dunkin' donuts freebie once (DD says i'm no longer eligible for freebie), constantly receive unsolicited "junk" mail at my residence (not my registered mailing address) & am unable to fix any of it through customer svc. i've tried to be removed from AARP/The Hartford mailings & was told it'd take three months. do U know how many mailings i'll receive in three months... oodles. plus, i bet AARP will sell my address to third-party solicitors [yippee]. AARP does not aid their members or seniors & acts like an uncaring corporation only interested in collecting dues. i was warned by older friends that AARP was bad news, but chose not listen... shame on me. i will "not" be renewing my membership!
