Original Comment Rented a compact vehicle through Allegiant Airlines for a month long trip in February 2015 to Florida. Arrived at ST Petersburg Intl Airport on Jan.31st . We arrived at the Alamo counter at 12:15 AM. we were told by the agent that the only car available to us as a compact was a Fiat which would not even hold our luggage. We were given three choices of vehicles all of which were upgrades costing $10.99 per day for 28 days total of $307.72 We agreed to a Chevy Camaro with no real backseat if needed for additional passengers. We felt ripped off not having a suitable compact car available which we reserved months in advance. The experience with Alamo was not good very disappointed and taken advantage of with hundreds of dollars spent. We will not recommend Alamo to anyone for future car rentals.
