Original Comment I've been a member at planet fitness for about three years. However I was appalled reading the news article about the woman whose membership was revoked after complaining about a large transgender man using the womens locker room. I do understand that it was not the complaint that caused her membership to be revoked, but rather how she went about complaining to other members later. I understand you are showing your support for the transgender community. However you're only opening up your company for a lawsuit. What happens when a perverted man decides to abuse the right to go into the womens locker room he feels is appropriate, and assaults a woman? Why not create a unisex changing room?? Why does a women have to compromise on changing in the comfort of other women? And what is your definition of transgender? ? Is it ok for a man who just &quot;feels&quot;like a woman to change with other women?? Or does he have to be taking hormones? Or does he have to have a sex change? A transgender man is still a man. But my concern is not just the man but those abusing that right.<br /> <br /> I'm usually not one to go with the crowd or turn in my membership in situations like this. However the way the woman was treated by planet fitness simply because she felt it necessary to warn others is absolutely ridiculous, and I don't want to be part of a gym that would revoke my membership over a VALID concern like that. I previously liked planet fitness. Now this has left a bad taste in my mouth! obviously this is an anonymous email since it's apparent how you treat your members. I will end my membership when I want to, not because I voiced my concern in this email.
