Stayed at Days Inn in Monroe! Michigan on March 8th, 2015. First room had smoke alarm issues, batteries needed changing, Huge puddle of water outside room entrance, causing room floor to become very slippery. Ask front desk clerk for another room, no problem. When we checked into second room, what a disaster: bed sheets not changed, hair from previous guests all over bedding and pillows, bathroom counter and sink had all kinds of facial hair from someone shaving earlier, carpet in room felt dam, bed frame stuck out by at least 4"....almost cut my leg open from this, good thing I looked down. After complaining again to night clerk. She explained that this would be logged in the hotel communication log and that the manager would read this first thing in the morning and that we could discuss issues with him than....next morning, manager passed us off to morning desk clerk to rake our information down, apparently Eric Waitrovich was on a so called conference call (NOT). We asked several times if he could come out to talk.....no available...not available, yet we could see he was not talking to anyone. Finally he showed up yelling at all of us and not wanting to discuss anything. We started to tell him of our concerns, he did not want to listen, kept yelling, in turn I started to yell back at how poorly he was treating his guests and his unprofessionalism. We all left feeling belittled and thoroughly discussed with him and hugs approach to the whole matter. Truly the person calling himself a manager needs to remember something, guests are to be treated with some respect and not like little kids. We pay his wages in the long run. Very unprofessional on his part. Truly he does not care of others and their concerns. Never have I been treated with so much disrespect by a person who's main objective is to serve the needs of the guests. Again, a jerk was behind the counter, not a hotel manager
