This hotel chain should be shut down. On March 7,2015 we checked in to a Day's Inn just off interstate 75 in Wildwood FL. Upon our arrival we went in to check in and there was no one at the desk...a note on the desk said "Be right back" after waiting 20 min someone finally came back. After checking in and upon arriving in the room it was absolutely horrible!!! Room reeked with smoke smell, (there was a no smoking sign on the outside of the door)roaches crawling, holes in the walls with bare wires exposed, cigarette butts all over the floor, no phone in room, I think the TV WAS A 70's model, dried toothpaste on faucets on the sink, floor of the tub was black as well as the tile around the tub, mold on the fan vent in bathroom, no light bulbs in the lamps... I can go on and on but I think you get the message. The room was so bad that we did not bring in any of our luggage for fear all our clothes would smell like smoke and roaches would get in our suitcases..we chose to sleep in the clothes we had on and would put them in a bag the next morning along with a dryer sheet hoping to drown the smell out. Thank goodness we were only staying one night. In the future there will be no more staying in a Days Inn for me ever again!!!! You people need to seriously shut theses hotels down...if you don't I am sure that the Health Department will...I have already sent a complaint to them.
