Original Comment I went to Lenscrafters at "Shops at Wiregrass" Wesley Chapel/New Tampa Florida location. The eye exam was fine, no complaints. I looked through the frames afterward. Found the low end price range fine for my needs. Went up to the counter and was told someone will be with you as soon as someone gets free. I looked over at the one guy who had no customers, and then looked at the woman who told me no one was free. She said to Andrew the General Manager "can you help him" he turned to his computer and said to her "I got to get this done". He obviously seen me in the low end frames, as I was patiently walking back over to the frames. He got up and said "Sorry, I had to finish that". I replied "Sorry for bothering you". To make a long story less long, he told me they couldn't do my frames today because of my prescription. When I questioned that, he said let me talk to the guys in the lab. He came back and said that they could do it but it would take 3 hours and 'HAD' to use polarizing lenses.I don't want polarizing lenses, that was the only way we could do it. He also told me "on the first pair you pay for the frames and get the lenses 40% off, and on the second pair you get 40% off the frames and the lenses" I said how much is this going to cost. $193 on first pair and $198 on second pair [with 40% off frames and lenses. I questioned why are the second pair more. The Polarizing Lenses [that Andrew said I had to have]. After taking my prescription and leaving I called customer service and talked to Renee. She talked to Andrew and now, magically it is possible to get regular sun glass lens in those frames [That I wanted to begin with]. I was lied to by Andrew the GENERAL MANAGER at LENSCRAFTERS at the "Shops at Wiregrass" WESLEY CHAPEL/ NEW TAMPA FLORIDA to get more money out of me than I wanted to pay [either to meet a quota or more commission bonus]. I'm sure I'm not the only one this LENSCRAFTERS have done this to. Shame on him and shame on CORPORATE LENSCRAFTERS if they allow this to continue!
