My wife and I spent 25 July at the Days Inn at 120 Childs Rd. in Harriman, TN; it was absolutely awesome!!! Then the next night, Sunday 26 July we decided to move closer to Knoxville Airport and we stayed at 2962 Alcoa Hwy; we were very disappointed. To begin with, the phone didn't work, constant bust tone. I told the desk clerk and they never came to fix it. The second light didn't have a light bulb in it. We had to wake up at 2:30 AM and the room didn't even have an alarm clock. The light on microwave display didn't work, so the only way we knew what time it was is to keep getting up, turning on the one light and look at our wrist watch. The room only had a half of curtain, so the window couldn't be completely covered, which meant we were going to have to sleep with the constant light coming in all night. The bed was stained and the couch arms were so nasty they were slimey. The commode was like a rocking horse it was coming off the floor, what a complete mess! There was no ice bucket in the room, so I had to walk to the front desk, where the clerk told me to go back to the room and he would have on delivered. I told him, BS, have one delivered here, so I don't have to make another trip to the room and back. He finally got out of the easy chair where he was play some game on his cell phone and got me an ice bucket. the only ice machine is in the front office, what a joke! There was no pen or pad in the room to take notes from a call I received. I have stayed in many Days Inns in my lifetime, but this has to be the most horrific experience I have ever encountered with a Days Inn. Whoever runs the Days Inn at this address should be fired immediately! What a dump!!!
