I would like to note my experience at the Comfort Inn, between August 16 - 28, 2015. The room that I am staying in has two beds, on the bed closest to the window I have my suitcase and my clothes laid out for the week and I am using the other bed to sleep in. On Sunday, August 23, 2015, I left my room to let housekeeping come in clean. I had left something in my room and went back to retrieve it. When I returned to my room, I noticed that they had taken all the covers off the bed that I was sleeping in and placed them on top of the bed that had my clothes and suitcase on it. The next morning on Monday, August 24, 2015, I noticed that I was missing two pairs of black dress pants. I went to the front desk to inform the staff of the situation. As I was trying to explain what happened (thinking maybe the pants got mixed in with sheets to go to laundry room), but the front desk clerk kept cutting me off and telling me "no, no, we do not have them". I tried to ask if she could check with housekeeping, but she kept telling me no and that they do not have them (without even checking). Her demeanor was very rude. At that same time I requested to have a new iron to be brought to my room, as the one I had was not working. The same clerk told me she would "put that request in" but I never received a new iron (iron was brought up the next day after re-requesting).

On August 27, 2015, I had placed the "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door. Staff had proceeded to bypass the sign and had entered the room, in doing so they had placed the "Do Not Disturb" sign on my closet door. Instantly I did an inventory of my clothes and pulled everything out of my suitcase and noticed two more pairs of black dress pants had gone missing. I notified the front desk and spoke with the manager, over the phone, at the front desk. A police report was also filed on this same date after the second incident (#:2015-08-371, Officer D. Howerd-McIntosh County Office of the Sheriff). I entered this hotel with nine pairs of work dress pants and I am leaving with only five pairs (Approx. $50 a pair). I am staying at this hotel on a FLETC contract and have reported these incidents to the contractor. Theft is unacceptable and this hotel should have higher standards of service, especially when servicing law enforcement personel. Myself and others staying at this hotel have found the front desk staff to be very rude and unprofessional.

Choice Hotels has lost any future business with me.
