On 1 Oct I went into the New Braunfels store location and purchased a living room suite (leather) with a coffee table, end table and ottoman. I agreed to your terms and was told it would be delivered on the 7th of Oct. No mention of time was made. When we got the call on Oct 5 telling us that delivery would be between the hours of 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. I immediately called customer care number to tell them that is unsatisfactory for time of delivery. We will not accept delivery after 6 p.m. I was told I would have to change delivery dates as the schedule was already set. I told them I expected delivery on the 7th as promised or I was cancelling the order. I was told they would see what they could do. My husband spoke to Jason and was told he would work on it and we would receive a call from Erica about the time of delivery. We did not receive a call that night. On the 6th of Oct, my husband again called and spoke to Jason and was told he was still working on it. My husband said we should hear something by 1:p.m. or we would be in to cancel. No call was received. So, we went into the office yesterday, 6 Oct, and waited as all were busy. Finally, one lady asked if we were being helped, and we said not yet and began to tell her we were in there to cancel our order. At that time Jason spoke up and said to let him see the paperwork, and said he was working on it still and I proceeded to tell him I was there to cancel the order. He told he he was with another customer and I would have to wait my turn. I told him I had not spoken to him first, he had spoken to me and I wanted to cancel the order. He then pulled my paperwork and told me I could not cancel the order because of the 48 hour clause. I then told him the story of my coming in on the first and being told by Chris that he could cancel my previous order at Ashley anytime before delivery. When I asked him about the 48 hour clause, he told me it did not apply if it had not delivered. I had previously ordered a sofa from AAFES and found out on the 1st that it would not be shipped until the 29th. I had already gone into the Live Oak store and ordered the coffee table, end table and two recliners. That is when Chris cancelled my Live Oak order after I asked about the 48 hours. So, I guess it is o.k. to cancel for your convenience, regardless of the 48 hour clause but not for my, your customer, convenience as you cannot help me get my furniture at MY convenience but yours. I continued yesterday to get calls (auto) telling me delivery would be from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and continued to tell you I would not accept at that time. Now all you want to do is change delivery dates and I do not want anything to do with you or your company. And, still no call from Jason. It is 11:37 on the 7th of Oct.
