Original Comment We bought a Tracfone at a store hoping to transfer minutes and the phone number from my husband's old phone that is no longer holding a charge. As of today, that was 8 days and two SIM cards ago. Still no service, though 20 minutes were taken away. As others have mentioned below, when I told customer service how many minutes the phone had, they told me they saw a number that was 20 minutes less than what I told them and that is what they transferred. <br /> <br /> We have called every day for 8 days, sometimes several times in one day, and have probably talked to 15 different people. I had Tracfone for many years and never had any problem until something like this happened to me, trying to transfer a number to a new phone, and they were so unhelpful and hateful, I left Tracfone and went to Consumer Cellular (American customer service people; soooo helpful and considerate and do not lie, unlike Tracfone &quot;customer service&quot;). My husband refused to leave, however, and now is experiencing the same thing I did a few years ago. <br /> <br /> It is apparent from reading several comments on this site that nothing will be done, which we already know. The really sad thing is that the phone was a lousy $15. I just hope that at this point we can return it. I have not tried that yet, but one hateful &quot;customer service&quot; rep told me that is what I need to do, but I have been lied to and given so much misinformation that I have a feeling the store probably will not accept it. <br /> <br /> I will be filing a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General's office as well as the FCC. This is ludicrous that this company can get by with this. Apparently they can take customers' money and provide no service. Shameful.
