Original Comment I am a regular customer of Winco in Bakersfield, Ca. I'm not sure I will patron the store any longer after being treated poorly by an employee named Terri. I called to inform her of an incident my adult 21 year old son had after I sent him to by an alcoholic beverage I needed for the dinner we were having that evening to celebrate his milestone in his firefighter career. He took his 20 year old girlfriend, who was attending the dinner, with him to get what I asked for. When he went to check out, he was asked for his ID which he kindly provided. The clerk then asked for his girlfriends ID. Because she was under age the clerk would not sell to him. When I called to ask why my of age adult son could not make the purchase, I was told it was illegal to sell to him when he was in the presence of a underage person. When I tried to discuss the issue with Terri, she became extremely rude and would not let me speak. I'm saddened that this is how she treats her customers and more so, an of age first responder that works hard to protect his community. I'm sure if I went in to purchase the alcohol and had my 18 year old daughter with me, this senecio would have not been played out the same way. I feel he was discriminated against and treated unfairly as well as myself by Terri. Anyway, thank you for your attention. I hope she will be spoken to about her behavior in hopes that she might treat people with a little more respect in the future. Very disheartening to say the least. Karrie Gee :(
