Original Comment We have had water damage and mold develop in my mother's home. We first made a claim back in February 2020 about a possible foundational leak under the carpet in the lower family room. We then had one omumber look at the traps, install new screen traps, but that was not the issue. The water was spreading farther into the family room. It took three plumbers to figure out what the issue was. The drain line serving the sink had broken away from the stack. We called AAA and made another claim. They said they would call within 24 hours and get their contractor to do the work. We have heard nothing. In the meantime due to all the water damage in the family room, mold appeared in two shelves of the cabinet. I read the policy in entirety and it does cover mold due to water damage. When I spoke to a AAA manager he had the nerve to laugh about it , saying it is not a covered cost. Now I have to revisit the first claim where we thought it was a foundational leak, which it was not. It was the pipe going through the wall and the pipe which and broke with water leaking anytime we used the sink. Our family room is a disaster, we have mold which AAA says is not covered and they still have not got one of their contractors to come out and fix the pipe. All we get is turned down in what is covered in the Homeowners Policy and delays. They know we have lost our mother, and we will be selling the house and putting it in the market and the policy will run out in November. They are stalling and turning us down on what is covered legally un the Homeowners Polucy. My mother was loyal customer for 17 years and this is how they treat their customers. This is unethical and just wrong. We have decided to take legally action at this point!
