12.15.2020<br /> I went into store #5170 in MIission Viejo,CA to return an item (purchase on 11.07.2020) &amp; purchase other items. I first went to the cashier to return the item. It was a container of glitter ($3.99). She received a message that the item could not be returned &amp; to call 800.642.4235. She then called the manager about the return. The manager told her to tell me to call the 800 number &amp; walked away. He never acknowledged me. <br /> <br /> I stood @ the end of the row of cashiers &amp; called the 800 number. The gentleman Michael, was very helpful. He tried to assist me but could not because the item was purchased in store. I then asked if he could call the manager for 5170. He put me on hold &amp; informed me that he had spoken with the manager, who said he could not do anything. I then asked Michael for the corporate office phone number. He gave me the number &amp; then transferred me to the corporate line. Michael was apologizing for not being able to assist me.<br /> <br /> I then went back to the cashier &amp; asked if she could return the item without scanning the receipt. She said she could try. She said the price was now $2.69. I told her that was fine. She said it will be for in store credit. I told her I will not be going into a Michaels again, so that would not work for me. She was helpful. I told her I will take care of this myself. <br /> <br /> I was still on the phone waiting for the corporate to pick up. As I was driving Cobie from corporate answered. I explained what happened. He listened &amp; apologized.
