Original Comment In April, we bought an acer for my 16 year old daughter. She is meticulous in how she cares for her things. She was excited to have the laptop that converted into a tablet. Five months after purchase, the base began to separate from the monitor. When we called customer service, they told me it would cost $389 to repair as it was my daughter's fault the swivel piece was disconnecting from the monitor and because of that, the warranty didn't cover.<br /> I told them, it had nothing to do with her and that piece should disconnect as that is it's main function. He rudely announced that they were not going to repair it and said if I was done talking to have a nice day.<br /> I will never buy an acer anything, again.
