On February 5, 2021, my 84 year mother (who is by the way, uses a walker and is on oxygen), called AAA emergency roadside assistance because her vehicle would not start earlier. The military auto shop, Autozone, and one our relative tested the battery and they all said the battery was bad. AAA technician shows up because the battery is under their warranty, and his machine spelled out these words " battery needs to be replaced soon". The technician then tells my mother to wait until the battery dies again and don't call anyone except him and he'll come and check the battery again. This is not only illogical but unsafe for this 84 year old woman to knowingly chance that her battery will die and she will be stranded and have to wait outside her vehicle with her walker and oxygen until an available emergency roadside assistance technician shows up when the most descent and common sense thing to do is to replace the battery just like the technician's battery machine indicated. I elevated my complaint to a supervisor name Jay at supposedly at a Arizona site. He claims that it's at the discretion of the technician whether to replace the battery that his machine said was bad and needed to be replace soon. I argued this analogy, if you had a hole in your tire but the shop just fills the tire up with air and tell you to wait until the tire goes flat before they can replace the tire, what sense does it make to just replace the tire so that the CUSTOMER would not have be possibly stranded or be placed in harms way. This is why I recommend that AAA customers should not buy a AAA battery and only buy from a reputable USA wide company like Autozone that would have definitely replaced their battery that was not 100% operational. To no avail, elevating this issue was unresolved and no one concerned themselves with how this issue posed a great danger to my 84 year old mother to become stranded because of a AAA technician discretion to not replace the bad battery.....I recommend all customers to HEED THE WARNING: ⛔️ DO NOT TO BUY A AAA Tire and WARRANTY.
