Food Lion private label sandwich bread:<br /> Last year my friends and family were thrilled when I tried food Lion white bread out of desperation because all the branded breads have changed their formula, or baking venues and their bread is coarse, yellow, not mixed well resulting in a swirl pattern on the slices. The taste is also terrible and bears no resemblance to &quot;white bread&quot; as we have know it for decades. When I tried Food Lion label and it was just as we remembered white bread, I told every when and soon it was flying off the shelf! It wasn't unusual for any of us to drive from store to store, even 20 miles away, to get that bread. Managers assured us because it was such a big seller &quot;food Lion will not dare change it&quot;.<br /> Well, I've just thrown out my fourth loaf over the last four weeks because it is awful! It has the same characteristics of all the branded products! Why have you changed it? It is an inferior product now, and as true Southerners will attest- one simply cannot make proper pimento or tomato sandwiches on such awful bread! Please please correct what's going wrong in your baking facilities!!!
