Don't fall for the " We are now a Maaco Franchise and under new ownership" line - thats what made me give them a chance, and they are doing nothing but blowing smoke...Liars and thieves.

I am writing to tell you what I am currently going through with the Fort Walton Beach FL location. I dropped my 2008 GMC Sierra Crew Cab off on Thursday, 03/12/2015 for a complete paint job. I wanted the original color so there was no "jamb work" and no body work. I was preparing to sell this truck and wanted it to look its best! I was informed by Chris that there was a special running, and that the total cost for this service would be $630.65. I even asked about the more expensive paint job ($799.00) and was told it was just a different paint and he wouldn't bother spending the extra money. I prepaid, and was told the truck would be done the next Friday or so.

I received a call on Monday 03/16/2015 telling me my truck was done and ready to be picked up. I went down to view the truck, and to tell the truth, Im pretty sure I could have done a better job myself. The paint on the passenger side and hood looked so thin that you could visibly see primer under the base coat, the tailgate was horrible looking and the entire truck had a horrible orange peel. The drivers window was also rolled up past the frame and hanging out of the door. I had to remove the window, repair the regulator and put it back together in the parking lot myself, just to keep the window from being damaged or damaging the truck.

I told Chris that this paint job was unacceptable and that I wanted it painted correctly. At this point he became aggrivated, which I can understand, but it wasn't MY fault. He then told me he would repaint the two doors on the passenger side, but it would cost me $75.00 additional!! I disagreed and asked him if he would want his own personal vehicle to look like my truck, to which he replied "no I wouldn't". I left the key and told him to take his time and just give me a call when it was done.

Since then, I have gone on vacation for a week, and waited 3 weeks more. I called and spoke with Josh yesterday 04/10/2015, and was told "they haven't gotten around to fixing the paint job yet" They have had my truck for A MONTH, and it is still not done.

I did not go in asking for the cheapest paint job possible, I had well over $2,000.00 in cash on me when I dropped off the truck, and like I said, I even asked about the more expensive paint job and was told "don't bother".. It is OBVIOUS that my truck was the result of someone trying to "knock it out" and make some quick cash, because I dropped the truck off Thursday afternoon, and Maaco is CLOSED Saturday and Sunday, and I was called Monday morning to pick it up...so my truck was prepped and painted on Friday, in a single day? The results show.

So here I sit, a month later. my wallet $630.00 lighter, and no truck. I'd really like it back, because I want to sell it, and being a 2008 GMC Sierra Crew cab 4x4, with 70,000 miles, it books at about $26,000. Its value is only going down as it gets older. Id like my truck back, and an explanation, please?

Thank you,

Josh Crager
