Original Comment I purchased a Maytag washer (MHWE201YW-3.5 CU FT WHT FRNT LD WSHR from Home Depot in December of 2012. I got exactly 1 year of use and then the washer stopped working. I called the Home Depot repair person who came and repaired the unit. The repair lasted two weeks and the washer stopped working again. Because the unit was no longer under its 1-yr warranty the Home Depot repair person was not available for repair. Another independent Maytag repair person came and evaluated to problem. He said the computer which is located on the motor was no good and to the tune of over $400.00 (parts and labor) a new motor was purchased and installed.<br /> <br /> It lasted two months and it quit working again. After several months I was finally able to contact the original Home Depot repair person for one visit. He said he would check the code message and get back to me. I never heard from him again. I have been taking my laundry to the laundromat ever since and it is getting expensive. I don't want to spend another $400 on this machine as it will only break again. What do you recommend?
