I am really wishing I'd have seen this before I purchased my Hoover Smart Wash carpet cleaner. It lasted only 9 months when the brushes stopped rotating.

I checked YouTube, figuring it was something simple like a worn belt, but there is nothing there. I contacted customer service and noted:

1. They do not give the company name until they tell you they're too busy for your call. (That should have been my first clue.)

2. I provided my e-mail address asking for guidance and AFTER A WEEK, they finally responded to say that they needed model and serial number. Okay... but there's only one version of the Smart Wash, but whatever. I'll comply.

After several more days, they again requested model and serial number, along with my address and phone number. So, not only are they selling worthless products, but now they're going to sell my contact info. NOT HAPPENING. Oh, and they want the receipt. Not sure why, but I responded that I don't have it, seeing as I expected the product to work more than a few months.

They also suggested that I make sure the nozzle is attached. I asked about that, as the brushes are NOT connected to a nozzle.

Clearly, the e-mails are robo-responded, so now I am 12 minutes into sitting on hold Wish me luck on that. I am seriously regretting my purchase.
