Original Comment I have been incredibly disappointed with the Lifetime in Fairfax, VA. Since reopening in June, the staff at my Lifetime are not doing what is necessary to keep all safe. Emails have been sent regarding masks. Masks are MANDATORY in Virginia and have been for a very long time. All businesses have signs on the entry doors stating you MUST wear a mask or you can not enter. Well, although Lifetime sends emails about masks, they DO NOT enforce it. There are no signs on the doors stating you must wear one. They let people in over and over without masks. The other night there were around 70 people working out on the main floor and only a handful of them had a mask on. This is unacceptable. Our gym just started taking everyone's temperature at the door. I asked the front desk worker today what is considered high and they would refuse to let that person in. The LT employee said, "I don't know, maybe 98". WHAT????? The average standard temperature is 98.6. This is very scary that the employees have absolutely no idea as to what is going on. I don't know if this is the fault of the GM (which I am assuming it is). Good leadership starts from the top. The GM needs to put in the time and effort to make sure ALL employees know what is going on and how to handle things. They need to put signs up in regards to masks and if someone comes in without one...turn them away. I am starting to realize that Lifetime is all about money. They talk a good game, but their actions show otherwise. I was told that the GM of our gym only wants to get the numbers up. Well...news flash....you are going to lose more people due to your lack of policy and enforcing those policies. A gym is one of the most dangerous places to be right now. Lifetime Fairfax needs to step up their game. I would love to hear back from someone as I am on the verge of canceling my membership permanently. Thank you.
