Was looking forward to having lunch in the newly opened location on the Farmington/New Britain line in Connecticut. I was second in line and the cashier sneezed into his hand as he was about to take the customer's payment. He paused as if to see if there would be a reaction, then completed the transaction. When he asked what I wanted, I asked him nicely to wash his hands. He asked why and I reminded him about the sneeze into his hand. He asked when and I said a minute ago with the last customer. After another pause he said, "We wash our hands every twenty minutes." I asked if he would be touching the food in my order. "I'll use paper," he said. I said good-bye and he told me to have a good day. Judging from the other comments, it appears that Popeye's suffers a serious deficit in standards, training, and management. Accordingly I will not return.
