I am very disappointed with Ambit. I lost my job and was trying to make payment arrangements. When I finally got a job my bills were completely backed up. I even lost my car. I do understand my bill was a lot but when I tried to work out something, they gave a ridiculous amount to pay. How can I pay that when I told them I was getting assistance. Then they keep telling me I have a switch hold and they will not remove it unless I pay over $1000. I have children and we have to stay with relatives. I have been without lights for two weeks. This is ridiculous. If I am telling them I cannot pay this amount and they keep telling me oh well we are not removing the switchhold and we are not releasing you to another provider. This does not make sense. Something has to be done about this.

I've been having issues with the Houston branch since October 2021. I call for extension and they charge 25 dollars to receive the extension than the day I'm to pay the bill which I have until midnight yet at 3:00pm they've generated a disconnection notice charging an extra 10.00. So I've explained every month I get paid once a month yet the bill is due by the 8 and pay day is 15 and the refuse to change due date!!! Run from this company cause you have to pay two companies Ambut and Centerpoint

Is There Someone That Can Check On The System Or Are The Employeess Turning Off Their Headsets? Call From A Cell Phone Like I Do. The Employees Seem To "hear" Coworkers Without A Problem.

I been with ambit For a couple months now they are fraud they over charged on the weather storm and they don't want admit that they overcharge me and if they don't give me my money back I will take this to court this is ridiculous of all the other electric companies are working with the customers but these people are so fraud want to take peoples money. I'm extremely disappointed in Ambit Energy L.P. after seeing their greed as of 05/05/2020. I'm a 49 year old Native Texan and Navy veteran who lost his job on 03/13/2020 during this COVID-19 crisis. I was able to pay my electric bill for April 2020 but I've since ran out of funding for anything that cost money. Well Ambit Energy L.P. took it upon theirselves to disconnect my power on the morning of 05/05/2020 and it wasn't noticed until after noon on that day. I had food that has ruined that cannot be replaced at this time which has me livid! A generous friend paid my electric bill that was higher than expected due to late, disconnection and reconnection fees that were applied to the amount of the original electric bill. The audacity that this company has to punish its customers while they're already down is unreal! How do y'all sleep at night knowing that you're doing this to your customers? Just a FYI but I have sent email complaints to Texas Govenor Greg Abbott, Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, Texas State Attorney General Ken Paxton, along with Houston news stations KTRK-abc13, KHOU-cbs11, KRIV-Fox26 and KPRC-nbc2 informing them of what your company is wrongfully doing to its customers. I hope that your greed was worth the media exposure that AMBIT ENERGY L.P. is about to face.

I have been off work for a month due to Covid 19. I have not had any money coming in and no way to pay any bills. I have reached out to every agency I could for help but I either get no answer or they cant help at this time. There are thousands of people calling these same places and get help but people don't seem to understand that. I previously made arrangements to pay my bill but unfortunately it didnt work out. I can't even pay my rent let alone a light bill. Companies need to understand that all of our bills are piling up not just one. I tried to aak for mlre time and they refused. They are now threatening to turn my lights off on april 17th. I just barely found a resource to help me with my rent this week. I was also recently approved forfood stamps on Monday so I dont know if that will help my situation with my lights not getting turned off. Unfortunately I can't get an unemployment check or a stimulus. But I did just barely start back working today. I will not have any money until May 1st though. Is there any kind of way I can get some help with my lights not getting turned off.

Do not complain or list specific consultant names or Ambit will take down the post. They allow immoral activities to occur because they are a business with zero integrity, as long as they can use people to make them money. There is a lawsuit in the process of occurring. There is a long list of women who feel as if they were sexually harassed by this "consultant" who they cover for and keep idolizing. Screenshots can't disappear. That doesn't even touch the fact that he isn't even an
Ambit consultant on paper.

Don't waste your time posting negative comments or contacting Ambit's corporate office. They just bully their way into taking down all negative posts they dislike and they resolve nothing. Totally corrupt company. All they want to do is make money and hide all activity that is questionable.

I am disgusted with this company. Be careful, if for any reason you do not rollover your account by the expiration date, they will be happy to do that for you and at 2/12 times the rate. Robbery!! No one will work with you. They really don't care. I will be paying over $100 for an electric service because of this. Why not take an average rate for the state of which your customer resides, but no ....let's take the consumer's hard earned money and punish them! They pride themselves with integrity and they are far from it. They are happy to punish us, take the absurd amount of overage from you, sit in their fancy office, with their expensive shirts, get in their expensive car and drive home to their lavish homes on my dime. They are unethical. They insinuated that since their records indicate that my letter was sent and not returned to them, that I received (and I did not). with the 3 individuals I spoke too, it was consistent that it was my fault and oh well that's too bad for you. I have never been so angry at a company for mistreatment of their consumer....and they really didn't care. Absurd! Do not use this company!

Ambit is a terrible company. Nobody will answer the phone when trying to disconnect. I would never recommend this comoany to nay indivdiual. I have been constantly calling every number I could possibly find for the past week and nobody has yet to answer or return my calls. This is a terirble company. I don't even understand how they are still in business.

My problem started when Ambit did charge me for 11 months and than I got a bill for over 500.00...PSE&G than look at my account as though I was not paying Ambit, so when I called Ambit they would not contact PSE&G and explain what had happen..They left it up to me to straighten out there mess...and now I find out that they charge me 42.00 over and above what PSE&G is charging and again they do not seem to care at all...When it comes to Customer Satisfactory there is not such things with this company (AMBIT)

Anyone want to join my lawsuit against the most incompetent ridiculous and less than considerate company that is not consumer friendly. Ambit neglected to forward my last bill to my San Antonio address after I had finished a 1 year job in Dallas. They had my forwarding address as did Time Warner, the Apartment complex for the last water bill etc. Only Ambit chose to ignore sending my last bill for $59.01. Ambit turned t5his into the credit reporting agencies as not paid. I found out Jan. of 2013 this was a negative on my credit report. This goes back to 2009!!!!. Three weeks ago I spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get this taken care of as per Ambit direction. I was told to fax a copy of the payment to Ambit and they would contact the reporting collection agency as soon as they received the fax and a letter would be sent to me for proof of payment. Well, I still have not received the letter and the Collection company has not been contacted by Ambit!Keep in mind this is a bill for $59.01 from 2009! Your customer service SUCKS and apparently your employees are LIARS.If a potential customer is reading this,which I doubt Ambit will put up on their site just beware you are dealing with LESS THAN HONORABLE PEOPLE!!!! what kind of company would turn a 82 year old man lights off when he had paid every month that he has been with ambit on time. he made a agreement with the company to pay a light bill that was at someone else place of residence that was in his name. Ambit customer service rep went to get the supervisor to finalize it and the supervisor was to busy to come to the phone. Then Ambit said they said they called my wife who the arrangement was agreed upon, but they say they could not reach her. Kind of hard to believe when it is her cell phone. So they turn his lights ans said that he had to pay a deposit,a reconnect fee, a deposit, and a disconnect fee and the entire amount that was due from another property. He is on a fixed income but ambit didn't care. This is a case of ambit not wanting to follow to go through with the arrangement that was agreed upon. Just a classic case of taking advantage of the elderly.

This company is on it's way of becoming the finest most respected in its industry. I'm not a leader but hope to be someday. NEW YORK, May 24 (Reuters) - Direct-to-consumer energy retailer Ambit Energy LP was hit Monday with a lawsuit seeking more than $1 billion for allegedly defrauding and harassing an independent consultant it had signed up to recruit new customers.

The suit, filed in Brooklyn federal court, accuses the Texas-based company of federal racketeering, fraud and unfair business practices. The plaintiffs, Nicole Gubin and her company, BH Seven LLC, also brought claims of libel, defamation and harassment.

Ambit buys electricity and natural gas at wholesale prices and resells it to customers recruited by a network of more than 60,000 independent agents such as Gubin. The company operates in New York, Texas and several other states with deregulated energy markets.

The lawsuit characterizes Ambit as "operating as a pyramid scheme which makes false and misleading statements that constitute deceptive acts or practices."

The suit also accuses Ambit's top executives of spreading false statements about Gubin's job performance, poaching her customers and discriminating against her for being Jewish and a woman.

The plaintiffs seek $600 million in compensatory damages, $250 million in punitive damages, $250 million in liquidated damages and $13 million in attorneys' fees and costs. They also requested a permanent injunction enjoining Ambit from doing business in New York.

A representative for Ambit, Robin Stevens, said the company had not had a chance to review the allegations made by Gubin, who is still listed as one of the company's active consultants.

But Stevens added that the company has "done nothing to defame, defraud or otherwise damage Ms. Gubin, and we are confident these allegations as stated will be shown to be groundless and without merit."

According to the complaint, the company unfairly accused Gubin of violating its policies and procedures and blocked her from operating a website on which she signed up new Ambit customers. She also alleged Ambit attempted to sign up new customers on its own, siphoning off her potential recruits, and withheld monthly payments and bonuses.

The case is Nicole Gubin and BH Seven LLC v. Ambit Energy LP et al., in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of the State of New York, no. 11-2483.

This company HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY- I WAS LIED TO BY THE REPRESENTATIVES ABOUT MY ELECTRIC BILL, THEY ASSURED ME IT WAS A TYPO AND THEY WOULD GET A NEW ONE OUT IN THE MAIL IT IS NOW DEC 27TH AND HAVE RECEIVED NOTHING FROM THIS COMPANY- I HAD TO CALL IN AND GET MY ELECTRIC BILL AMOUNT TOLD TO ME OVER THE PHONE AT 257.70 WHICH AGAIN WAS TOLD IT WAS THE PLAN I CONTRACTED WITH. A) I'VE NEVER SIGNED A CONTRACT B) I'M CONSTANTLY BEING LIED TO BY CSR'S CLAIMING TO BE MANAGERS WHO GUARANTEE MY ISSUES WILL BE FIXED- YET ANOTHER LIE AND I GET STUCK PAYING A 257.70 ELEC BILL AT THE COMPANY'S MISTAKE WHO HAVE ALLOWED THE EMPLOYEE'S TO LIE TO CUSTOMERS. I had an account with Ambit energy for less than 2 months - nearly three years ago. When I moved from Texas, I contacted this company and paid what I was informed was any payment due. Two and 1/2 years later (October 2012) I was notified by a credit collection agency that I owed money to Ambit energy. After calling ambit energy's customer service, I was informed that I did not owe anything - disregard the collection agency. In December 2012, I received a bill from the collection agency again. Ambit now states I owe them money. They have not sent me any bill verifying where this came from or the dates. They have not answered why it has taken them nearly three years to state I owe them or why a collection agency is involved. There is no verification at all except that I WILL PAY THIS AMOUNT. I want proof and answers. Ambit has not provided anything.
