Original Comment My 37 year old Son was hired at the Days Inn in Elizabethtown, Ky to assist in Housekeeping (for which he has much experience). He worked 2 or 3 shifts & was satisfied with the work. When he went in after a day or 2 off schedule, he was doubled over in abdominal pain & knew he could not work (a Gastrointestinal issue that is not common for him)...He pleaded to switch that shift with someone else, but was denied & told that if he could not do that shift to not bother coming in for his next scheduled shift. Indeed the problem resolved itself within a few hours, but now he was/is out of work. They are missing out on a very hardworking, capable employee. The problem is, that after waiting for a paycheck for about 3 weeks, he stopped in on July 24 to see if his check was there, he was told there was no check for him. The woman who told him that (she had taken his application & later interviewed him) now contends that he never worked there. He actually had filled out his Tax paperwork...The check should be for 7.00/hr for about 12 hours...Please direct us to whomever can resolve this ASAP, or it will be reported to the State Labor Board.
