TDS really sucks in TellicoPlains, TN. When the owner died, they bought the private phone system. We have no choice of long distance carriers. Only TDS. The service lacks many of the landline services one expects on a land line.
Their internet service is horrible. Slow and down for days at a time. I now have Hughesnet satellite internet, which is in itself horrible but much better than before.
We have been charged 10.00 late fee for a slight deficit in our automatic payment for each month for over a year. We had no idea we had the amount wrong. We just got a disconnection notice because the amount is finally over the threshold. We have been paying our bill each month on time but the amount was slightly off. Now you want to shut us off? We spent 2 hours on the phone, we were hung up on and patronized. And no resolution to this problem. SHAMEFUL!
I have been considering getting rid of my tds tv today I pay over $130 a month for and last Sunday the decision was made for me by TDS. I have had TDS for many years and I have to say I'm leaving to go to a streaming service. This is because, without any prior notice,TDS deleted AMC. In
I had to go online and pay AMC streaming service. But the good news for me is I'll be saving $$. I wish I could leave altogether but TDS is the only option for internet here. I also don't appreciate the mandatory phone service which, of course, is only to charge us money because you cannot use it at all.
I have been a customer since 2015. At the time i added service i had no choice with adding a landline in the bundle. 2 years later i cancelled it when the option was added. I have been charged for a landline for 4 years and was told my account could not be credited. Is that how you treat loyal customers, and to add during a time when money is tight for EVERYONE? I also asked what TDS was doing for families that needed to keep their internet because children were all doing school at home, but a parent may have lost their job? and the answer was NOTHING... and you wonder why you lose customers. Word of mouth is the best company killer. I hope this reaches the corporate office. I am disappointed and disgusted.
Your company provides extremely poor service in Roosevelt Az. I believe it's because there is no competition, lip service runs ramped. I would just like service 80% of the time. I could write a book on all the garbage I've been told in the last 3 mo. If you are going to charge for service provide it.
I live in N.H.. I cancelled my cable and kept my internet and phone. i had the 300mgb i9nternet. Myn speeds have dropped to 100 mgb and i have been charged double for 300mgb. since Sept. 2020. I get no answer from the tech team. They want to chg. to look at my home. If i can get the 100 mgb why is there a problem with my home. % callos to service with no answer.
The internet had went out and when we called to have it fixed because my brothers Merton machine runs off of it they change the damn number lol. My brothers life depends on this phone and internet connection. His doctor reads his heart beats and send signals to his heart through these connections and sends signals to the machine when his heart stops and when his heart beat goes to 310 and sky rockets. Not only does it run off internet it has to have the phone too. A number that we have a had for 20 years. Then when we call to see what the deal is they had us on hold for hours. Also, when we ask to have the cooperation office number they refuse to give us one! It's a shame we have to deal with this! What a joke! Needless to say, DO NOT RECOMMEND
