Good afternoon,

I am a current BMW 2013 X1 owner for approximately 2 months. I was driving back from a memorial service and realized my car was loosing (decreasing) speed until it stopped. The service engine light came on along with other lights, I thought it was Christmas. As sacredly pulled off the road enough in time before it cut off....the car put out a very big puff of smoke and a very bad foul order came from the car. Luckily it did not catch on fire because it was raining. I had to be towed in to the BMW. The BMW dealer did not offer a loaner car until I mentioned it. I picked the loaner car up on Monday and was told my car would be ready on Tuesday. My car was ready...they half washed my car and I had the rudest unconcerned service manager (Mr Steve Ellis, BMW of Columbus Georgia) to speak with me....I politely excused myself from speaking with him because he demonstrated no concerns and was not people user friendly. Wednesday morning while driving to Fort Benning, Georgia to work, my service engine light came on again. My husband picked up the car and delivered it back to them to fix. They did provided me with a loaner. Again, I got a call from BMW indicating my car was fixed (no service engine light was on). Thursday morning (today, July 18, 2013), I was on my way to Fort Benning at 0600am and my service engine light popped on again. My husband came and picked the car up and is trying with all efforts to contact the service department. As of 0845am, no one is picking up on the phones. Literally, I am paying for a car that I am hesitant to drive because of my initial ordeal with the puff of smoke coming from the car. I believe this is a defect in the car and I would like to speak with someone in providing me with a new vehicle. I am not a happy camper.
